Let’s see those Les Pauls!

I'm mostly a pedal steel picker but still spend most of my time lately recording and improving my guitar skills. LatestGuitar Collection.jpg acquisitions are all PRS guitars and just finished putting Graph Tech ratio tuners on the PRS Paul's Guitar. Got two guitars tuned to the Nashville tuning including a Wechter that's specifically designed for that tuning. My favorites are a Nashville tele with B&W benders, the aqua Paul's guitar and the burnt orange Peavey Generations.

I got some money at the end bof the year and in addition to ordering some useful stuff I decided to bite the bullet on getting a cheap Les Paul from Harley Benton at €115. Haven't gotten around at plsying it through my rig yet, but it feels nicer in my hands then any Les Paul I've ever had. Also a lot lighter too.

I had no business winding up with 10 guitars. Half of the way through narrowing the collection down to just 3 or 4. This pic sucks because I had to rush it and my slap dick brother who is a professional photographer bailed out on doing the pic for me before I recently started selling things off.

The PRS McCarty 594 SC has turned into a preferable Les Paul alternative for me even though I loved my LPs. Purple guitars might not be for everyone. This purple and gold combo happened for a reason for me though, LSU theme baby GEAUX Tigers!.

And the Reverend Jetstream 390 with the 3 P90s wired like a strat and the bass contour knob has fulfilled all of my single coil needs between strats, tele, and P90s.

Prefered the PRS SE 277 baritone over the Mike Mushok. Hoping to be able to keep the Custom 24 as the 4th and final.

A nice purple quilt or flamed maple top guitar will be mine eventually ;)

Just before New Years, I drove down to Siler City, North Carolina to Terry McInturff's facility and picked up my brand new Spellcaster. This guitar is exactly what I wanted it to be when I ordered it. I had played Terry's Spellcaster and decided to order one last spring. He sent me regular updates and I was able to visit it a couple times along the way when I was at his place. Terry was absolutely fabulous to work with throughout the build. I got to gig the guitar last Friday and it delivered the goods big time. His MAXI-Q passive electronic system really makes this a super flexible guitar. You can get everything from Tele to P90 type tones - there is a little bit of mini humbucker in there too if you want.

Not mine. Ran across this and thought this is a great idea.

As protected as leaving it in the case and could be locked up like a gun locker.

This would be great opportunity for a woodworker. I’d buy one of these.

Seems like it would be a simple thing to make it lock up tight and even put temperature and humidity controls in it.

dang! What company makes that? It looks awesome!
It's made by Alan Cringean (ACGuitars). Plays really really well and sounds even better haha. With 5kg a bit on the heavy side but a decent strap and the flawless ergonomics of the long upper horn and headless design definitely make up for it.

These are my other two. A fame Baphomet 6 and a Warwick Corvette $$ 6, both equipped with a wal style filter preamp that I build.

Yes, I am a sucker for green and yes, I changed the PU covers on the WW to closed ones.

Playing around with some DADGAD tuning today. I don't know if it's the Elixir strings or their fancy aged woods, but this Yamaha FGX-3 is the best sounding acoustic I've ever played. I compared it to a bunch of Martins and Taylors and everything else <$3k at the local guitar shops and didn't like the sound of any other guitar nearly as much.

The only two I have at the moment. The Ibanez is 26.5'' scale and I use it for Standard D and Drop C tuning. The Schecter is 25.5'' scale and tuned in E. I put a Detuna and a Tremol-no for dive-only in, but don't like the stability, the dive-only lock does not hold very well. I will ask my local luthier if he can put a block of wood into the rear routing instead, I never use the tremolo for pulling the pitch up anyway. Soundwise, the stock bridge pickup of the Ibanez is pretty perfect for me, i don't like the neck pickup. I am going to exchange for a Bare Knuckle Blue Note P90 in humbucker format, tested that in this guitar a while ago and it was perfect. The Schecter plays and looks awesome, but I am not so satisfied with the sound, a bit muddy in the lower mids and too high output and too compressed. Not sure yet what to replace them with (advice welcome).
At some point in the future, I plan to add a Fender Telecaster in Sunburst... always wanted one. ALWAYS.
