Yeah, wondering whether this is a recording-only feature, or if it can/should/shouldn't be used with a loud power amp and guitar cabinet, or even a loud FRFR cab.

i think on high settings, the compression could make things a bit unmanageable with higher gain patches. i'd be tempted to leave it off, or maybe set very low (about 0.5) as you're doubling down on the effect, in a sense. set at about 4 at bedroom volume, it sounds and feels terrific with my plexi and mesa lead patches. very different from the "feedback" comp type.

One of the first posts mentioned: "Added “Gain Enhancer” mode to Amp block Output Compressor."

You most likely have to use the front panel because I don't think there is a new version of Axe-Edit yet.

Is the amount of "gain enhancement" able to be tweaked with a controller or control switch? Seems like it'd need to be tweakable dependent on how loud you are playing, but it also occurs to me it could possibly be (ab)used as an effect.

I guess I will find out when I get home....

Added “Gain Enhancer” mode to Amp block Output Compressor. This mode can be used to simulate the acoustic reinforcement of a loud amp coupling into the guitar and enhancing the output signal.
