Axe-Fx III in Australia

but you are in NZ, so you must have paid a bomb for it. MAJOR FAIL!

I don't consider adding a 4k piece of kit to a studio investment of over 150k worth of gear, a "MAJOR FAIL".

Look mate, you clearly can't afford one. As with everything, if you want it you either save for it or use something else. That's how I've accumulated my 40k guitar collection and the rest of my gear.
It's taken years of having a positive attitude, a deep passion and a lot of hard work. That, to me anyway, is a success not a failure.

Anyway...............moving on, I've got better things to do than waste time arguing with a loony left socialist.

Whats a left socialist? babahahahahaha i mean, your not one of those people who still thinks blue and red are different parties? oh my!

First paragraph in your original post answers your own question........oh wait, you've deleted it.
Let me put it back up for you.

The price in New Zealand is $4149. Yes you read that correctly! GULP! The dollar in NZ is the same as the USA. Not via conversation, but how hard you work to get a single dollar. Its still one for one, the dollar is still exactly the same worth. Thus, in NZ, we have to pay $4149 for an Axe fx 3 unit. So i guess that will make people from other counties feel a bit better in regards to the lesser amount they get one for.

I've been letting the dealer know that we would like advance warnings so we can have the funds ready, and they said, early june, so we sold a lot of gear, and low and behold, no unit, july no unit, and some are working musicians, thus, we had to buy more gear to get by, then out of the blue comes the pre-order email, and guess what, no money to pay it at present, and rest of rig set up for Axe FX unit. F#^@^*$ OH WELL!

Not sure, no definitive date given so in meantime I'm reading the manual and organizing routing options to integrate into studio.

I suspect it won't be for a couple weeks.

Gonna be a long couple of weeks - I got the Austin Buddy presets and (if you're looking for such things), it's been a sensational foundation.
Thanks
Pauly

Once it arrives I'll start checking out some 'extras'. Thanks for the heads up. Yeah it is going to feel like a long time but sometimes the anticipation is a worthwhile experience. At least that's what I'm telling myself ha.

According to the email from Andrew,
"first shipment of Axe-FX III is due to leave the Fractal Audio factory for New Zealand as early as this week."
That means the units are hopefully leaving the USA now, but nobody knows when they arrive to NZ (depends on the type of transportation, I believe :)). It took well over two months for my Nord Stage to get to New Zealand after it left the factory in Sweden earlier this year.
I don't want to be too pessimistic, but I am prepared to wait a little bit ;)

Just got the shipment notification for my Axe-Fx III order. Purchased on the weekend, shipped at 11am Monday. Andrew at IM certainly doesn't mess around. Anyone want to buy an Axe-Fx II?

Replacement arrived today, stoked!

Hmmm.. I recognise that work - when people used to 'go away' they'd do matchstick laminate work.
Thanks
