Me and my friend Trvlnfool did some Axe FX II Live Tone Matches ,we did capture few tones out of Original ADA MP-1 Preamp. Preamp what we did use for these ,was ADA MP-1 V2.01 whit MOD 3.666. Settings what we did use in Original ADA MP-1 ,was some of Paul Gilbert Nuno Bettencourt Michael Wagner settings.

We did use both Passives and EMGs and two different guitar there also ,and ADA MP-1 Chorus was Off all of those Live Tone Matching presets.

Here is also some quick tone test for two tones , i did use both of clips same IR Ownhammer Marshall 412 whit 65s!

Metal Vibe

Rock Vibe

Here Below is link for those ADA MP-1 Live Tone Matching presets!

Remember that you need put some of your own Cabinet/IR there ,because i was use custom cabinet/ir not sure is that Cab block empty or not. And that Cab block was not there in TM process ,i was put that Cab block after TM process for testing those presets!

Thanks and no problem ,it was fun to do these. Yeah ADA MP-1 is amazing preamp ,lots of different tones you can get whit that preamp. Yeah 3.666 have little bit different voicing than stock ADA ,all those Mods what ADA have all sounds little bit different. Paul did use if i remember correct three tube MOD for ADA.

And Nuno did use in Extreme Pornograffitti album Michael Wagner:s ADA-MP1 ,like all those other bands SkidRow Extreme and White Lion`s etc. That Wagner settings what i did share have same settings what Michael himself did share us ,and he did say those settings he did use exactly whit all those bands. I believe he still have that ADA MP-1 in studio.

Those two Nuno:s Live Tone Match preset what is here ,those are year 1993 Nuno:s live settings in official tour. Paul:s settings are all what i have find in net ,and also there is few settings what was her own ADA MP-1 notes hand writing stuff.

Yeah and no problem nice to know you did appreciate ,would be nice to see that preamp in someday in Axe FX II. But i have feeling that will not be happened ,because ADA:s regular mid bass treble presence etc... have more possibility:s than regular 0-10 knob. And that voicing mode is too there ,there is also big difference what you use there. But lets hope someday that will happened.

Thanks for doing this! The ADA MP-1 is my all time fave... I ran one for years! I'd much rather have an unmodded MP-1 match (that 3.666 was the "rectifier" mod so it will not sound very Paul Gilbert or Nunoish I would guess) but really appreciate any ADA related stuff.

Please don't jump on me for some heresy:

Despite being on loan to a friend so he can work on his project, I own an un-modded ADA MP1 and don't see how it can't be copied with the tools in the Axe FX II. Unfortunately, I won't be able to create a patch for you folks because my MP1 is 2500mi away so I can't do a fair patch. As a tube-geek, my impressions of the MP1 is that it has a lot of 'stuff hanging-off of the tubes' or 'smearing' that helps to make its nice thick midrange palette. A couple of filters/EQs could help one recreate this type of effect along with the ToneMatch. IMHO, I think the HBE would be a good starting point for re-creating an MP1. In the end, one would EQ their result in the mixing phase anyways, so what would truly be lost?
