Concerning the JMP-1 preamp: I was always impressed with the rather unique EQ network of this preamp ~ although the names of the controls are standard Marshall, they seem to allow for a greater degree of unique tones... Very glad to hear about the new models!

Thanks Chris! EG level = Electric Guitar/Instrument level. "Level control for the Loop's output" simply means a way to control the special effect's level coming out of the loop. This effect has no output level control...

I am using a special effect unit that wants to see EG level at it's input, and has a much stronger output. Is there a way to adjust the AFX Loop send so it doesn't overdrive the special effect's sensitive input, and is there a level control for the AFX Loop's output? Mucho Thanks!

One thing I do to get the smoothest chorus sound is to make sure the LFO shape type is set to Triangle wave ~ this eliminates any 'dead spots' or 'abrupt whiplash effects'...

You can also attach a 'slope' resistor from the wiper pin to the hot (non-grounded) pin of the pot to customize the curve (most people prefer a resistor about half the value of the pot's resistance).

Blending 2 amps, 2 cabs or 1 stereo cab, or 1 single cab?

With two mono Cabs, you have the added parameter of speaker *size*, which can help greatly for making two Cabs 'behave well' together :)

Acoustic guitar preset

Thanks for the info! Has anyone started a thread for sharing tone-match IRs for acoustic guitar? I would be happy to participate once I get a handle on the TM technique for acoustics... PS: Do a T-Match *Block* and a T-Match *IR* have the same quality of sound/resolution?

Help ~ Just updated my MFC-101 to firmware 3.5 and the Edit menu isn't working

Basically, the MFC was set to alternating banks of 15 ~ 15 for electric, then 15 for acoustic, then repeat the pattern all the way thru all banks (acoustic banks use a different AFX input). The remaining two switches simply toggled delay and drive status ~ I'm just not sure whether this was done...

BUT... Since I've got your attention , Please tell me how to load a backup in to my MFC (it's from late 2012, so I hope there won't be any major OS conflicst). It seems that since my latest FW updates, the MFC has 'forgotten' how I had it programmed (scares me!)

The rather embarrassing 'fix' was for Matt to remind me that I must make a selection from the bottom row of switches before I can access the page buttons ~ I am such a forgetful man! :o

Who Wants to Test Some New Firmware? (12.03 Beta 5 UPDATE)

Just updated - Everything sounds like crap! :o) Oops, that was my POD 1.0 I updated....nevermind! ;o) Seriously, I *love* this new update, and again congratulate Cliff & the Fractal team for a beautiful job of converting the best analog sounds into state-of-the-art digital!

Mother of All Effect Emulation: A/DA Flanger

Although I dig the flanging sounds presented here, I must say that my A/DA Flanger has a smoother modulation waveform - more like a chorus/triangle smooth waveform with no 'dead' zones. This is the reason I prefer it over the rest of my flangers - more useful as a go-to sound, not just an 'effect'.
