near clipping is not always a bad idea for a pickup... here is what i mean by that: note that i dont use that technique myself, but your pickup could've been made to be near clipping...

Do you EQ presets?

Start with only 2 tracks, hard panned, low gain. You probably use too much gain! (We all tend to do so... Im not juging!) I use light post eq in my daw, but the sound comming out from the axe is already great! Try to aim for a balanced sound (low gain, not too bassy, not to trebly!) Those...

good job man! I use metal machine! it's for ez drummer 1! if you got ezd2 get "made of metal" or "the progressive foundry" metal machine would work for ezd2 also, but if i were you, id get the latest ezx possible! ^^^

ok nevermind, after listening a couple times, i prefer the axe-fx :D just my OCD getting a scare i think... note separation is MUCH better with the axe fx! i cant hear those big chords with the ezmix2 sound! still, it took years to dial in my axe-fx and bass (bass is still weak imo...) to...

Thanx a lot guys! I had much fun doing this! I usually take a month to compose, record and mix a track. This one was kind of a miracle for me since it took 4 days! i was a bit too fast, there are now some things i would do differently... maybe use a bit less gain, and give the bass a little...

my room is not threated, so i have a hard time to balance the low end... i'm on ADAM A7x and ATH-m50 to listen to stuff... i used a bit of multiband compression (wave's C6) to control the chugg... i went quite soft (like -2db for chuggs) i probably could've gone a bit harder (maybe -4 db?)...

Hey! Try to lower the 500hz by 1-2 db in eq tab, I use a peq block to low cut at 100hz, hi cut around 7-8khz and scoop 2-4db at 400hz!

i use an ibanez rgd2127 with lundgrens pickups, i mostly play high gain/ rock stuff my go to amps are the usa lead+ (mark iv) the fas modern and since fw 18 i must say i love the recto red modern the great thing is all amps are soooo good!

i am using the bogner gc-12 right now... i am monitoring with ADAM A7x, what is hard, for me, is always finding the right balance between lowpass in the cab block, high cut in the PEQ, treble or presence in the amp block. These four knobs are what are giving me headache... i try to find a good...

here, this is what i've come up to with the Gc-12 bogner... there is still work to do, (and the song aint finished yet) but you can see where i am at right now... i think i still need to remove a bit of fizz somewhere... guitar starts around 45 sec... solo sound is not ownhammer IR

thanx man! your clips are of great help! i got the bogner gc-12, i love it! got one diezel, find it a bit thin, got the free marshall, not my cup of tea... i am after modern tones, i feal like all IR i got are a bit fizzy, i need to low pass them around 6500k, i LOVE the bogner gc-12 i...
