    Thanks. I do remember on my AxeFx II when I turned the threshold all the way down it would say “off”. On my FX8 it doesn’t read “off” it reads -100. Also, on the global settings my Noisegate offset is a 0 dB. I think that’s where it should be.

    That makes sense. I was cutting 16k some and boosting 250 a bit. 16k cut was subtle probably due to most guitar speakers are not very pronounced in that upper range. It’s a pretty cool tool for shaping tone when you feel like you hit a wall on the amp controls.

    I also like the 5-band passive EQ in the post position with just a bump in the mids really help with solos....I put the level a .5dB and just with the mid bump it cuts in the mix very well. Now I just need to figure out the midi switching for my 5150 III Combo.

    Thanks paranoid for the input, I will mess with it tomorrow and see if I can get it smooth. I may possibly have Ext 1 linked to my volume block accidentally. I changed my expression pedal ports when I switched from the AxeII. I may have forgot to unlink the volume to Ext 1.

    Modifier connected to the mix was a trick I learned on the forum years ago to get a smooth whammy effect when the mix is set to 100. I could be wrong but if I turn off auto engage and turn off the mix connected to the controller I won't get any effect??
