    What do you all think of the high gain amps? The Fenders sound glorious but my ears want the master bias turned down a bit for high gain like the recto red. The beauty here is I can do just that!

    I compared my Peterson set to Equ with my axe III tuner and once the note settles they are within .6 .7 of a cent of each other. I read an article on perfect pitch last year and it said most can’t hear an out of tune note until it is 5 to 10 cents out.

    I don’t believe non faulty amps produce noise. They only amplify it. Check you signal path, reduce gain use noise gate.

    The nail bomb is sterile IMO. I like the Ragnarok. I have owned most BKP’s. I sold them all except the Juggernaut and Ragnarok. At the end of the day, I am back to SD. I play metal. I like the nazgul, BW and Invader but they all require (IMO) precise eq cuts.

    Thank you for this. I can get closer by messing around with the pitch follower on voice two level two and adjusting the slope and scale. It’s not the same as the OC 5 range knob but it does help!

    Ability to set lower octave range affected like the Boss OC 5. This allows the added octave to only affect notes within a certain range. This way you can, for ex., Exclude lower notes on the e or a strings from the octave effect etc.

    HI, I have an AXE III. Can the FM3 run this patch? The 2nd amp is my clean but that was pre fast switching so I think I can just use a channel in the one amp now. Clean - Dual IR, Mk iV rhythm, PEQ, Plex delay Dirty - 2 dynacabs, MBand Comp, DynDist, Analog mono Delay and Reverb on high.

    Who use always the same IR in every preset?

    I use the dynacab recto straight and recto slant for all my non marshall type high gain settings. Straight is dynamic mic at cap edge. Slant is ribbon at cap - 6db or so. I adjust the ribbon db to taste as well as the distance. Works for me.

    I like the Recto straight, dynamic 1 cap edge and the Recto slant, ribbon center. Adjust position and level to taste. Ribbon -3db or so. I have not tried with the Engl but it works well with the Recto, Revv and a few other high gain amps.

    Do you guys input stereo? I have an axe III and I use 5 and mute out 1. I get some artifacting when I use 5/6. This only happens in the stand alone NDSP. I should probably test some more. I know my 5/6 DI signal is fine into Logic and the NDSP plug-ins don’t exhibit this behavior.

    We dont have a Dyna 421 do we? The 421 is where you are getting the fuller sound from compared to what I assume is a 57 Dyna. Try this: dynamic at 2 (cap edge ish) and a ribbon at cap -6 db. This rounds out/adds back some low end.
