Who made you start playing guitar?

I saw a documentary of the Beatles and saw the young women going nuts, screaming. I thought, yes, I need to do what they are doing. I need to learn how to play the guitar. Did not get much success on the women, but I got pretty decent on the guitar.

Why Your Amp Doesn't Sound Like Our Amp

What are the odds that, amps that have something "magical" with its tone compared to a regular version of the same amp, was actually due to an inadvertent mistake by the builder?

Switching back and forth between steel string and classical nylon guitars

Switching back and forth between steel string and classical nylon guitars

I wanted to buy a Godin classical style guitar but it has a 50.8mm nut width. I think most of my guitars have 41-42mm nut width. I was just wondering if any of you guys have found it to be an issue to go back and forth between classical and "normal" steel string nut width necks.

I guess I did! The bridge pickup was a Dimarzio Evo7 and it did not have screw coils. I was told that screw coils are always south so I was in a pickle. I just oriented the pickup so the wires are coming out are closest to the hole that leads it to the pot cavity. Like I said, I didn't have...

    Guitar wiring question

Thanks! I'm new to this so I didn't know that if you short both wires from the same coil that it would deactivate it. I thought only grounding then would do that. Also, in this case, the South finish wire is the hot wire?

    Guitar wiring question

So I'm trying to wire my guitar using the diagram above. I can understand how the north coil of the neck pickup will be split, since the north and south finish and the south start will be grounded when the toggle is switched to the second position, leaving the north start to go to the pickup...

I didn't mean an uprising or protest of some sort. I'm talking about a natural economic event. Workers will go to jobs that are higher paying so eventually, they companies will have to up their prices to compete. It's not going to happen overnight but we are already seeing signs of it now.

Yeah, as China becomes more and more affluent and evolved economically, their citizens will demand higher wages, which in turn will lessen the gap between the cost of production with the US. Then we go off to the next lowest wage-paying country. It's capitalism.
