About clipping

Thanks you. After two days staying up late and trying everything to fix the jitter issue, I ended up giving up and turning my computer off. Well, guess what, I turned the computer back on and so far no jitter... hehehe... I guess sometimes life its more simple that what we make it... Ok time...

About clipping

It flickers a lot more with my PRS than any other guitars but still sounds good. So PERFECT, that's really good to know... Thank you Rex. This thing sounds amazing through s/Pdif . Now I just need to figure out how to get rid of the jitter on my RME FF800 when I sample to 48 Khz...

About clipping

It is mainly something I'm seeing on the Axe's input metering... when I strum hard I can see the input red lights go off... is that normal then?

The Spirit of Radio by Rush - Vox, Drums and AXE FX2 in Guitar and Bass

I connected my unit through S/Pdif and WOW what A DIFFERENCE. Guitars sound 100% better that connecting analog mono. But now I get a little bit of jitter on my interface which clock is also set at 48khz. I'm going to try a different cable and go from there...

About clipping

Sorry, you are right it is the input state and not the output that clips. My PRS has PAF Gibson pickups, very hot so I do have to turn it down or customize each preset.

Lamb of God - Laid to Rest cover with the 6505+

SOunds killer. How do you connect your Axe FX II to your RME Fireface 800? You have the exact same setup I have (I think...) AXE FX 2 > FF 800 > Cubase. Do you go PDIF and record in 48khz? I am currently going mono to my 512c preamp > ff800 and I haven't been able to figure out the Pdif...

Finally found a Bass Patch that I'm happy with!

I went through A LOT of bass patches here and finally found one that work to do a Rush song. This is in no way close to Geddy Lee's tone but I think it somehow works. Clean, fat and punchy. I used the Ampeg Model that SeedofTheDay created and adjusted the EQ a bit. Below is a sample and if...

About clipping

I'm having issues with both my PRS McCarty guitar with upgraded Gibson PAF humbucker pickups AND my bass (Ibanes SR800) with active pickups clipping on the input stage. I have to turn the input level way done or turn the volume down on both my guitar/bass but I feel a loss of tone. I let it clip...

Haha, I wanted to do a thread that was named EXACTLY the same, so I guess I just reply here: THANK YOU!!! I tried out the Tool preset and love it. I can't get the same tone you got on your YouTube sample using this preset with an Ibanez SR800 but I'm trying to tweak with my bass EQ controls...

A "Rush" Patch Thread
