Best improve amp model: Mighty Splawn!

If you're talking about the splawn nitrous......That's been my go to amp for a while now.....BEEFY! But it only sounds good on one of my guitars, middle of the road pups. My hi gain pups sound nasty thru the splawn. :/

Hi Chris , Thanks for the reply! No it's not a pop.....it's more like a millisecond of sound coming from a louder amp. It doesn't happen if I mute the strings ....only when notes are played.....not sure if it has to do with the pitch block?

Hi guys, When I change from scene 2 to 3 there is a little jump....I think it is the delay tails when the hit the different amp in scene 3. Any ideas on how to curtail this problem.Otherwise I have a quite USABLE preset here. Here is the preset in case any want to here what I'm talking about...

brittle highs

Hang in there Ross! Pick ups have the such a huge effect IMO. I have presets that sound SOO GOOD on on one guitar and sound absolutely TERRIBLE on one of my hotter PUP guitars. I know the YOU know this ....just reminding you :)

For anyone who is interested. I've done this several times now without incident. I've run the axe and 3 powered monitors all from 1 car battery. It seems that we "REALLY COULD GO ALL NIGHT". I took an amperage reading from the battery before and after. There was very little difference. Of course...

Pushing the Cleans

I like the class A15 with a ts808 to push it, especially with a single coil/ or coil tap neck pup. It has some kind of think spank.....well I don't know how to say it but I just love it. I'm still searching for a creamy lead tone. This thread has giving me some good ideas on that front.

Played my Axe-Fx II for the first time today...feel a bit let down

I'm sure someone already said it but There is a HUGE diference in which guitars you are using as well. Presets that sound great(warm, dynamic, etc) with one guitar maynot sound so sweet with another.....just like my tube amps :)

Good question. I've already played before using a little battery powered amp.It was ok but I really missed the axe and my scenes. They have a small PA system( battery powered as well). I won't use an amp, just straight to the board. The drummer just uses a cajon so It's not that loud and since...

I have some gigs at the beach coming up. I have a little convertor that changes 12vdc to 115ac. It works but I'm a bit hesitant to hook up my axe to it. I'm just wondering if any of you electrically minded folk can tell me if I have anything to worry about.

No scenes changes are accepted on the first preset at start up until I switch presets then come back. Then it works.

Where can I read about how to download presets fro axe change and the forum using bothaxeedit and midi ox. There is a preset I'd like to try that I have down loaded. It's a midi ox file. But I don't know what I;m doing:lol nothing new there

Bug? preset stays in first scene( mfc or axe2)

This has happened the last few ties I've turned on the axe2. It stays in the first scene and does not respond to any of the other switches. actually the mfc shows that I've changed scenes but the axe 2 doesn't register it until I switch presets thn come back..... Weird

Thanks guys! I've made several presets now but haven't grasped the whole "X/Y" idea ( thought I did). This clears it up for me quite a bit. I'll go back and redo this preset.....tidy it up a bit with X/Y settings. It's all a learning curve for me ..... Thanks for all the constructive criticism...

What a great experience....Thanks Sukh for sharing!. One of my favorite concerts was when Vai stepped in for Ingwie in Alcatraz. I had front row Vai feet in front of me. Inspirational is an under statement. The guy Is awesome on the fret board. Now I'd like to buy some of those kick tags :)
