GIGWRX arrived: PIC within!

Assign Exp Pedal to Multiple Parameters?

Scenes work perfect for what you're trying to do. Create a preset with FX you need for a song, and name it after that song. Using Scenes allows you to turn on/off multiple FX blocks within the same Song preset as well as X/Y versions of each block with the push of one button. For example...

How to dynamically change an effect with pick attack.

Attach a modifier set to Envelope. You'll have to adjust curve to get what you want. Attached to Speed will increase/decrease speed or Attached to Depth will increase/decrease effect based on how hard you pick. Sent from my iPhone

No "tweaks" really. Set your Input Level so your hottest guitar is tickling the Red on the Input LED's on Front Panel. Not sure what sound you're looking for or what you feel is lacking, but Factory Presets should sound pretty good. Obviously they won't be exactly what you're looking for, but...

My $.02 I struggled with live tone using the Axe and the RCF 12SMA FRFR speaker. I listened to all the advice, being sure to create patch at loud/gig volume. I'd get a great tone dialed in and head to the show. Over and over again, my sound was thin, weak, and gain or compression sounded wrong...

Choosing a "Fender-ish" clean tone

Yek, have you tried the Concert model? With a Strat, really love that amp. It'll take gain well too, but does the "Fender" clean and pushed tones really well. I actually like the Pre Rola cabs with it to soften highs a bit, and then mix with any 1x12 from Cab Pack 10 or the UR Double Verb...

FW18 - anybody else noticed this?

Sat Switch and new Sat Level Question

I was wondering if the Sat Switch can be toggled on/off via CC message? Now that the amount of Saturation can be set, seems like it would be nice to be able to switch this on/off on the fly. I'm not in front of Axe, but can't recall if this is possible. Sent from my iPhone

I'll probably get flamed for this but...

One suggestion regarding cab block. More than ever, I've noticed the gain staging into the cab block is really important. You said you're a Marshall guy, pull up the 1959 SLP Jumpered amp and pick cabs you like. I really lje the Pre Rola cabs on this amp. Now...turn on the Preamp sim in Cab...

Did you try it with a factory patch? We need to be sure nothing in your routing is causing a problem. No MFC, no Axe Edit, just Axe into Matrix. Double check your I/O settings too, make sure everything is set correctly. If you try headphone jack, how loud are headphones, do they seem weak too...

Agree! Check out the Road Worn Strats if you like the relic thing, the Eric Johnson we mentioned or the Classic Lacquer series if you can because these are all nitro finished guitars at a reasonable price. The best advice given by far is to find one that feels, plays and sounds great unplugged...

What cab do you have and what are you using to drive it? The Mesa's have been greatly improved in new FW. I know you don't want to hear that.....but you'll eventually upgrade, might as well do it now and take advantage of the changes. Building your tone on 17 will require a lot more tweaking...
