    Jazz/Blues Patches

Hi all, Has anyone put together any really excellent jazz/blues patches? Something along the lines of Larry Carlton, BB King, Fourplay, Spyrogyra, etc? The key aspects would be a very good sensitivity to playing softer or turning down the guitar volume to get clean sounds. Give Sapphire Blue by...

Adjusting Volume Level Across All Presets

Absolutely, the amp block is the best way! You want the output block to be 0dB so different scenes can go up or down as needed.

How even volume between front and rear inputs

I didn't get that fancy, but yes, when compared, they sound identical in volume and tone. So, putting the Sennheiser to +18dB solves the problem, but I am not sure why it requires that high of an output. I will look into the wireless transmitter output gain as a culprit. Just in case anyone...

How even volume between front and rear inputs

No, it's just a standard 1/4", just like it would be if I were to plug a guitar directly in.

How even volume between front and rear inputs

Excellent point and great suggestion, thanks! I will do that, comparing cable front and back. In either case, can the input gains be separately adjusted? I am surprised a passive guitar output has the same volume as a +18dB active output from a Sennheiser. I wonder if I need a fancier cable...

How even volume between front and rear inputs

Hi guys, I have been jamming at home using the front input with a cord and gigs with the rear input from my Sennheiser wireless. I recently discovered the odd change in tone was because the rear input was a lot quieter. How to I balance these two the best? I increased the AF out of the...

Hi all, Does anyone know of a commercially available pedal board that is designed to house: 1. One or two Mission pedals 2. The MFC-101 3. A couple of external buttons Since I'm expanding the stuff, going from just the MFC to the MFC + a pedal, and want to add a couple external...

Startling discovery... for me at least...

Best way to alternate rhythm and lead

Thanks, today I found that 3dB is really not enough to give me the boost I need to play a lead. I think 4-6dB sounds like a great suggestion. However, I did find a noticeable delay from the time I hit the Scene Inc button on the MFC-101 until it kicked in. Not that long, but noticeable, at least...

Best way to alternate rhythm and lead

Hey, thanks for all the replies! I played around with it tonight and tried both the final gain and the null filter and both work great. Best way to alternate rhythm and lead

You are probably right. From a UI perspective, it didn't seem intuitively obvious to me. I would have thought a Volume block. I may give that a shot. Sorry, just being a PITA engineer :-)
  15. jasonwb007

Best way to alternate rhythm and lead

It sounds like the top two answers are: 1. Scenes, possibly using the output volume 2. Using a volume block, apparently, optimally after the amp, but before post-amp effects I tried a volume block, but to no avail. I thought I had the wrong parameter changed, as there are a few. Which...

Best way to alternate rhythm and lead

Hi all, Is there a "best/standard" way to alternate from rhythm to lead? Primary is a volume boost, secondary is perhaps a tad more reverb or delay. Do people use scenes or two patches for that? I've heard someone mention a flat filter, but that seems like a bit of a kludge to me. I have my...

How can I use one volume control for stage, the other for PA

Yeah, I agree. When I said "I like...", I probably should have said, "The sound man likes..." because I just want to send him a nice steady signal that only changes if I change patches. Is there an easy way to do this for ALL patches, without having to modify every patch manually?

Axe FX II and Kemper Profiler (Yes, another one...please read!)

One minor comment...I've had software upgrade issues many versions ago, but that seems to have disappeared. No issues recently. Also, Fractal maintains a very nice library of patches, plus there are tons of pros using it.

How can I use one volume control for stage, the other for PA

I like having a constant PA output volume and adjust stage volume as needed. Sometimes up and sometimes down. My Marshall JMP-1 was actually perfect for this - you couldn't even control the speaker emulator output (other than via the patch settings) and the volume knob only controlled the output...

How can I use one volume control for stage, the other for PA

Hi all, I believe in general, the second volume control on the front of the Axe-Fx II is for the effect output. How to control Looper Mode from external pedal

Has anyone else been able to make this work? I believe I have it set up right because while I *am* in Looper Control Mode, it works. However, the pedal will not trigger REC or PLAY of the looper unless the MFC is in Looper Control Mode. Can anyone definitively say if this is possible?
  27. jasonwb007

How to control Looper Mode from external pedal

Strange...mine seems to require holding down the REVEAL button to enter Looper Control Mode. I am using a momentary contact switch (Korg PS-2), but that should not matter. Could there be anything different about the mode of the MFC when you did this? Older FW version? I have the latest.

More than 1A through Axe FX??

Exactly! The power rating of the power supply is *almost* irrelevant. If it's rated for 1A, it will probably deliver quite a bit more than that. The maximum current draw of the load is what is key. If the manual specifies the PS current rating, it could probably be updated to be more accurate.

Wow, I didn't think *that* many people would agree. The one thing I see as a common thread is that it is useful for placing sounds in a recording. The title is the question... every time I download a patch with TM in it, it sounds really thin - almost like an AM radio, compared to most other patches. I don't think it's just me.
