    MIDI keyboard -> synth block?

    I'd much prefer not to rely on general purpose OSes like what runs on phones or PCs because they're more prone to failure. Maybe I should buy a Hammond XPK-130G, then, as it has built-in sounds.

    I'm interested in a Studiologic MP-113 for selecting bass drones with my foot while I play guitar over it. Will the synth block support a MIDI keyboard? Will the MFC-101's MIDI ports accept a keyboard? I won't have the Axe plugged into a PC.

    Harmony question

    My goal was to apply this sound to a generalized harmony for practicing and a 25% mix of Mixolydian (+3 +5) did the trick. I'm still curious about how to apply a lower harmony, though. I'd read that +3 becomes -6; but couldn't find anything on inverting +5, and -10 sounded awful.

    How do I tone match pickups?

  70. prometh

    How do I tone match pickups?

    It won't sound anywhere near as good because the pickup's physical position relative to both the strings and your picking is more important than its EQ.

    How do I tone match pickups?

    If the guitar is the same and only the pickups are different, remember that when you want to switch from bridge to neck pickup, you'll have to switch presets as well. This is something that has mostly turned me off from the idea for the time being.
