    I do it especially for live FRFR cabs. The full range is a bit unnatural for guitar cabs. The low end on my Xitone cabs takes up too much frequency and drives the bass player and FOH a little crazy. So I cut.

    Sorry I haven't read through all the questions and answers, but is this only on one preset? Have you tried different amps, just to troubleshoot the Axe Fx? Have you eliminated all other blocks and one by one bring them back online? Amp settings? Saturation?

    Perhaps, but I came from a long line of two 12" cabs. I know. But FRFR should be able to be given the EQ curve to relatively match. This is what the question was about. Not going back to a power amp and guitar cabs.

    Here's the noise when I unplug the guitar for analog reamping. I switch to Compressor B-Analog Sustainer or C - Optical Sustainer. A Studio FF Compressor is relatively quiet. But still noisier than plugging the cable into the input. Am I doing something wrong?

    I'm terrible. If I'm good I change my strings every 6-9 months or so. And I play 3-4 hours a day. Sue me. When the strings start sounding too dark - I like them dark - I have to change them. Then 2 months later I change them! LOL

    Yes. Always turned pitch bend off. Never tried the midi channel per string thing. Seemed too much of a hassle. BTW another option I've used is to just record guitar and have Melodyne translate it to midi.
