dialing in stage sound via IEMs... Possible?

Always dial them in on the best/flattest set of studio monitors you can afford, as long you are running the outputs direct to the console... the sounds will translate. Usually the problem with IEM's that aren't molded to your ear, is that if you are not using isolation eartips, the low end...

IRs that give you that thump in your chest

Ubercab IR's... probably the cab with the most low end... or Mesa cabs, or those with greenbacks... IR's captured with a 121 will probably have the most low end... If it's still not enough low end, buy a sub for your monitoring situation... It should be fine for jammin at home alone, but will...

This sounds pretty close... play the high E at the 20th fret, and it'll spit out the other harmonies.. this is set for the Pitch block in Series, before a delay and reverb at the end of the chain...

Try adjusting the Hi-Cut lower in the Cab block, and see if that gets rid of what you are wanting less of...

Always get the best most Flat Studio Monitors you can afford... you can get used Mackie HR824's that sound similar to Genelec 1031's, for about $500/pair used... if your Studio Monitors are not Flat, you're going to try to compensate for what is missing or overly hyped... could be what he's...

Sigh - Still On The Fence

You can make it as Complicated or as Simple as you want to make it... You can get Killer tone by selecting a Factory Preset close to the amp you like, and select different IR's until you find a great combination for YOU... you can honestly get 90+% of your tone that easily... just monitor...

Why did/would you choose FM3 over Axe FX III?

Not "over the AxeFX III," but in addition to... One of my AxeFX III's is in a large rack with our digital mixer, wireless and in ears, for when we bring our own PA. But the FM3 will be perfect for a fly-rig, and shows where we don't have to bring PA, and multi-band events, for quick change-overs...

Wireless guitar system suggestions

It sounds good. I've only used it straight into my AX8, and now my AxeFX III. It uses digital transmission, so no weird companding stuff going on. For $139 it's pretty awesome... batteries are internal and rechargeable, so no batteries to buy, and last at least 4 hours on a full charge.

Monitor out is stereo, why listen in mono?

It's always a good idea to check your presets in mono, to make sure that they translate correctly. If there are phase problems created by the Enhancer plugin, etc, your "killer" tone might could sound hollow, thin, or wimpy if your stereo output was summed to mono... but a stereo y-cable to mono...

No, it's made by Splawn. A couple years ago someone posted a head box rack like this with the AxeFX II in it and thought it looked killer... found that Splawn sells them direct... just an empty head shell with 5 rack spaces, but looks pretty cool.

Yup... ridiculous amount of gain with HBE... sounds great

New super lightweight wireless...

Used it on a gig last weekend... flawless, sounds great. No interference from IEM System or wireless router controlling an X32Rack. Is replacing my old unnamed digital wireless that ran at 2.4GHz, that over the last few years has become almost useless as clubs started using more and more WiFi...

Can't get stereo output on Axe-Fx III

Then check to make sure your Stereo Cab is panned Hard Left and Right, and the Balance is set straight up on the FX Blocks... if that doesn't work, delete the blocks one by one until you have stereo...
