Can anyone tell me what vocal microphone this is???

Cool guys....thanks a lot!! I know its crazy hard to pinpoint exactly which mic this is as its not to clear and we don't even see a logo or writing on the microphone in the pic. All the feedback was greatly appreciated so far though. I'm checking out all your suggestions.

At first I thought it was maybe a Neumann U47 as it really resembles it. Problem is that if you look closely, you will notice the top head of the microphone in the picture is completely flat and the U47 is kind of rounded at the top.

I noticed that they also offer a Power Amp simulator inside their plug-in as well. I also read that you can load up to maximum of 100 preamp/cab/mic combos in one instance of the plugin. That is pretty sweet!!! They also let you import other IR's into their software as well.

I agree with you that it is expensive. If this is something that you think is too expensive or maybe is not in your budget, then you need to look at another software like Sony Acid or Vegas or Nuendo or something of that nature. It will get the job done and then you can just export your audio...

marcmesa....you cannot use Pro Tools LE as it is not compatible with anything other then a Digidesign/Avid piece of hardware. You will need to purchse Pro Tools 9.x or later and it will work fine. The new Pro Tools software is the only one that is finally compatible with other hardware besides...

Inoperative Axe FX II - right out of the box

I can tell you with 110% certainty that Cliff and his team test all units and do a burn in of all the units before they go out!! I have witnessed it with my own 2 eyes when Cliff gave me the tour ( I had never seen so many AXE FX II's in one place at a time...its like i had died and was in AXE...

From the looks of it, he burned the old website name and the only way to get buisness again was to switch it out to try and attract new customers cause the old website addy was probably pretty tarnished. 90% of people ( including myself ) who purchased one of these units knows it is a great unit...

Wish Wish the MFC would change to match the Axe FX state.

I didnt do it that way because the whole ProTools Rig is next to the drummer and your not supposed to run more then 25 Feet of midi cable. I would need more then 25 feet of midi cable to go from the Digidesign 002 to my MFC. Now, My AXE II on the other hand, is about 10 feet away from that...

I would love for this option to be availible. Right now, when I play shows, I run everything through ProTools 9. We play everything with backing tracks and a click track so the whole show is planned from start to finish. What I did is hooked up my AXE II "midi in" to the Digidesign 002 Rack...

This is what I used to use. Now I just have the AXE FX II and a Mesa 2:90 with my mesa cab and a liquid foot pro. This setup was heavy as all hell and anything could have went wrong with it and then you could spend hours trouble-shooting. In those pics, there was missing my mesa amp switcher...

Its wired that the mbox's are usb and the 002/003 are firewire.Why not just stick to usb. Most laptop pc's dont even come with firewire ( macs do though). They were smart in opening up pro tools to the other platforms though. Its great for everyone to now be able to have 1 common software to...

There is a re-wire plugin in protools that we can maybe try playing around with. Maybe if you go into the device properties once the axe drivers are installed and tell it to use the digidesign as its main out's, and somehow use the re-wire pluggin, maybe there is a way to get it to work on...

I really doubt a noticable lag will be present. Firewire is faster with the digidesign but thats mostly because you have multiple mic/line inputs that will send on seperate tracks along with a whole bunch of assignable outs. Something I think USB will have a problem with. I cannot tell you it...

Yes you can use you FRFR system as listening montitors but they will need to be hooked up into the "monitor out" on your digidesign rig. As for Pro Tools, any versions before the "9" you wont be able to directly record as pro tools doesnt let you use thire interface(002/003 as an example) and...
