    Yeah I think I agree. Mark V seems to have a touch more mids than the other amps imo (or maybe it’s the other way ‘round and I’m misremembering right now). But the IIC++ is the least compressed of all Mark amps to me.

    The equivalent modes on it sound quite different, though. I don't have experience with the real amps apart from playing through a Mark V once in a store, but in the Axe, the MK IV and the MK IIC+ sound different than the IV and IIC+ modes on the MKV models.

    I think that’s unfortunate, wish they were two separate blocks. Using old Metallica as an example, Mesa IIC+ (slaved) into a Marshall JCM 800 power amp. Could also open the door to modeling super expensive hi-fi tube power amps, like McIntosh for instance.
