Hmmm.... Ever heard of the MI from Australia?

I have one of their amps and also have access to their wider product range (the factory is literally 5 kms from my house).

    I've got a '66 Supro Thunderbolt.......

Not quite stock--has a Jensen 15" Concert which isn't original, but it's been in there since at least 1973.

My rhythm guitarist in my high school band had it back then and sold it to me in the early 90's.

There's a pic on this old Gear Page thread.

Another great Supro derivative - Page 3 - The Gear Page

Don't really want to sell it, but we might talk about a loan if you are interested.........

Nothing else has been changed on it except NOS tubes and a 3-prong plug.

Cliff, I'd be happy to loan you my THD Univalve. Excellent little Class A amp that takes a ton of different tubes.

    Hi Cliff,

I have a Hook Captain, it's the original version with EL34s and Plexi style transformer. Let me know if you're interested?

I'm going to take a little inventory from my friend's shop. He specializes in vintage and unique amps. He has a Fender Twin Reverb head built for Chris Robinson of the black crowes. Savage amps, soldano, old marshalls, an H&K MK1, Laney, tons of stuff. I wish he still had that Cornford Hellkat. Best. Clean. Ever.

I am new to the Axe FX Forum but i may have something unique you may be interested in.
I have a VHT Pitbull 100 CL from the 90s, Steve does not make these anymore, they have a switch in the back so you can switch power tubes between EL34 and 6L6, I loved the head with the EL34s but when i switched the tubes out for 6L6 i got faster attack and better punch. I also upgraded the power transformer to "Mercury Magnetics" one. way more headroom and clean as a whistle.
Let me know. I will be selling this head "among other things" to pay for my AxeII

I own nothing of interest, but how great is it to know Cliff is still actively pursuing cool and unique amps? Assuming he keeps modelling them for us, this is awesome.

It occurs to me that any/all of us could help in this cause:
1). Search Ebay, your local Craigs/Kijiji, etc, looking for cool amps Cliff might want (and we want modelled :-))
2). Contact sellers (NOT Cliff, he doesn't have time to follow up thousands of ads!). Just tell some sellers about this, it could lead to some deals and then everyone wins.

All it takes is some free time, an internet connection and a desire to have more cool/unique amps modelled in the Axe-Fx.

PS - We NEED a vintage Supro.

It's an amazing amp, in fact it was my last amp purchase before I managed to get my hands on an AxeFX Ultra. Since owning my 2 AxeFXs, I very rarely plug it in (or any of my other amps for that matter).

Sound-wise it's got one of the best clean tones I have heard, it's based around a Fendery type chime but I think sounds better than any Fender I have played. Channel 2 is a crunchy US style drive and Channel 3 is like a modded plexi.

Cliff, I have a 1964 Fender Super Reverb. The electronics are all original except tubes and caps. The speakers are from 72 or 73. Sounds like you'd expect.

I'm not really looking to sell it, but I'd loan it to you for a couple of months if that will advance the cause.

Again, thanks for all the work on the Axe and MFC. Great, great stuff.

Hook amps are created by Leendert Haaksma (Anouck's guitar player) and Erik van der Haar.
I visit their facility regularly and posted some pictures recently: Guitar and amp porn
They've got a great little amp coming out soon: Little Lenny.

When Guthrie did a clinic for Van der Haar two years agoin The Netherlands, he played a Hook amp and was very pleasantly surprised.

Cliff, if you want to loan a Hook, I can try to arrange this.

I have an ADA MP-1 preamp (from the late 70's, early 80's) totally modded by Voodoo amps. Vintage style tones with a modern feel. They don't make the mod anymore because you can't find parts for the ADA. Check out the mod here (it's the platinum mod).

    Interested? PM'me.

EDIT: On a lower key note, I also have my former practice amp, a Laney LC-15R. I don't think I'm gonna be using it any time soon...
