    Lightbulb Forum Features

This forum now accepts attachments. Each regular user has a 1MB quota. A global limit of 2GB caps the size of the uploads directory across all users.

You can manage your own attachments by clicking My Profile and then choosing Attachments from the lower left sidebar.

.syx .jpg and .gif are the current "legal" upload types.

Video files must be hosted externally, but players can be embedded inline using BB code.

Audio files must be hosted externally, but SoundCloud players may be placed inline using BB code.

We're working on a way to allow an inline MP3 player for externally hosted files.

I'm trying to post some data in text form (columns) but can't find any way to maintain the formatting. Is there a "code" formatting option that could be turned on?

I tried uploading as an attachment, but .txt not accepted, so I captured the text as an image, but .tiff is not accepted. I'm sure I could find some way to convert .tiff to .jpg, but uploading text as an image is very wasteful in terms of space anyway, and I've spent too much time on this already.

Any chance of getting a "code" type tag that leaves simple formatting (spaces/tabs) intact?

The code tag works and is much appreciated! I just tried to upload a user cab, but the attachment manager limits the size of syx files to 4KB (preset size). How should this be handled?

Increased the .syx size limit to 12k.

You can now use 'mp3' as a tag to automatically insert an inline player for externally hosted MP3 files.

It's easy: just replace the carats in the example below with square brackets:

    <mp3>http://yoursite.com/yourfile.mp3</mp3>

    Here it is in action:

Due to frequent requests, the SEARCH field is now 100 pixels wider.
