How to setup an Boss FS-6 for Volume Control (or any control for that matter)

    Greetings all,

Okay, I'll consider myself a complete dummy on this issue seeing that I've searched the forums, videos, and manuals and still cannot figure out how to get a Boss FS-6 to work as an external controller.
I've got the FS-6 plugged into an MFC-101 using the TRS cable but I've tried following the manual and other resources and the pedal is still not working. What I want to use the FS-6 for is to toggle an input VOL block between full volume and a 50% volume level, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. I figured out how to do it using the connected Mission pedal, using the pedal itself to toggle 50% input VOL at heel down and 100% VOL at toe down...but I don't want to do it this way. So I bought a Boss FS-6 to be able to "toggle" the volume level...but I just can't seem to get it to work whatsoever for any parameter let alone VOLUME. So any specific step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated at this point.

I use Boss FS-6 as a volume boost plugged into External Switch 2 on the MFC. I guess "toggle" between 50% and 100% volume could be used in the same way...

plug in your trs cable into Ext Switch 2 (for example).
Go to MFC midi setup and click to the XS2 page and set it up like this XS2 #015 Ch01 TypTOG
and on next XS2 page set it to XS2 Off 065 On 127

    65 should roughly be 50% volume and 127 100%
