I have two and a Mission SP-1. I dig the Boss a lot.

I wonder if its somehow possible to put a steel spring under the toe side of the pivot - to push the pedal up ???

I think this only matters if you use them as volume pedal, not as Expression Pedal.

Anyway I have the FV500H which works perfect

I've created simple mini volume knob pedals (like the EWS Subtle volume control) that have a 25kB linear pot. These values are often in pedals like EV5. But if a FV500H also works then the Axe Fx doesn't mind a lot what the value of the potmeter is somehow.

Received the Boss FV-500H pedals last night. Velcro'd down and calibrated. PERFECT! Better feel and better sweep than the Mission pedal. Again Mission not bad, I just prefer these bad boys. Using as a master pre-gain volume and a wah.

Tremonti, . I bought the axe ll about 8 months ago, and I am looking to buy the MFC This month.
I am looking to set up the exact same way as you.
From what it sounds like, this is plug n play ?
Is there any down side using the boss vs mission regarding setup, etc ?
I am going to have a learning curve with MFC and I really want the most plug n play options available.
    I appreciate any advice
    Thanks
    Jerry

I like the build, feel and sweep of the boss units better than the mission. But it's just a personal taste. They both are great

i'm currently using an ernie ball vp junior with one of those expression pedal converter cables, which feels great, but the little internal cable is liable to sanpping after lots of use (already had to replace mine once). thinking of upgrading. i do have a couple of yamaha FC-7 which work great, but have way too much travel for me and actually hurt my ankle when using it as a wah. how much travel do the boss ones have in comparison? anybody know?

i did try a mission pedal and thought it was lovely, but it wouldn't play nice with my yamaha foot controller...

The Boss for wah feels great. Prefer it to the Mission pedal very much so!
