hello mate. we hardly do any stuff from that era and i'm not too fastidious about getting the "right" sound anyway. i just get a good sound and pretty much use it all night. Rutherford pretty much does the same thing. i was using the hiwatt sim, which was pretty good and sounded quite "vintage", but i've recently changed to the buttery sim, as it's a little brighter and seems to have distortion characteristics similar to Rutherford's solid state yamaha amps....and is a little more "modern" sounding.
