Logo Youtube The MesaBoogie Overdrive Special - still in beta stadium!

revoiced/reworked one of my MesaBoogie StudioPreamps today - here in bedroom volume playing through a pair of Yamaha MSP5 nearfield monitors. Pretty neat, fat dynamic singing lead! I'm not finished yet with the job, but I'm glad how good this thing works so far.

Every note you're about to hear is made with the reworked lead channel!

    cheers
    Paco

here is a "direct" clip: http://www.pacocasanovas.ch/mbdumbl.mp3 (not my best playing here.....and sorry norah, I hope you don't mind ....) - AxeFx Std. does the EVM12L simulation from the stock cab IRs and put a little room fx (for the amp in the room sound) on it!

    I'm in love

combine two reverb blocks - one with a nice plate verb sound and approx. 20ms pre delay and a 2nd one with an ultra short room effect - approx 20ms - just as an idea! I have to write down the setting (all set by ear)

    Paco,

I love the re-voicing you've done to the Mesa. It really has that Dumble ODS type of feel to it. I have a Mark IIC+ with an EV12L I bought new in 1983, and I wish like hell it had that type of voice in it. It certainly has some great sounds, but not this Dumble feel. I look forward to further tweaks.

    Cheers,

    Lee
