    Ooo, nice!

Some +25 years on, I can clearly recall being totally absorbed by the atmosphere when it hits the first verse

Isn't it cool the way the story goes... And the chord progression is simple but eerie and totally goes with the lyrics. I'll have to play this one out

I had an Old Techniques with the strobe on the side but I didn't keep it. All of my vinyl went as soon as CD's CD players became affordable .

My vinyl stayed put for about twenty years. I broke out a few recently, spun up the turntable and gave a listen. It was immediately clear why I parked the vinyl. Tons of analog warmth, not so much definition, and pops and crackles to boot.

As for Green Eyed Lady, that song has been stuck in my head for two-thirds of my life.

Such a cool tune, every once in a wile it just pops in and I have to go and play it. If I had been thinking about it at the time I should have done the same with my vinyl, I have never been good at holding on to things that I should have.

Check'n out some Don Felder after I posted a thread on him and remembered this tune from the movie Heavy Metal form the "Noise Dive" seen, can't get this one leave my head. I have been trying to take this one apart guitar wise and finding what type of amp and effects he used here, this one is eluding me. It sounds like that stationary Flange that Groovnut talks about or maybe a light chorusing but it's hard to tell with all of the guitar layers. Anyone have some insight?
