Okay so I have a question about panning with the cab block with the Axe Fx. When I record, I use the Axe Fx onto a stereo track via spdif output, and pan hard left and hard right. As far as panning with the cab blocks in the Axe Fx, it is a question about recording with a stereo cab block. When I look at the factory presets, most of them that have a stereo cab have the cab panned as -30 L, and -30 R, or some number similar to that. Since I record the Axe Fx in stereo and already pan hard left and hard right within Pro Tools, is it okay if I have a patch with 1 stereo cab block, and leaving the L and R panning at factory settings, or would I want to change the values of the patch to -100 L, 100 R? Or would that be to extreme to pann 100 each way, considering I'm already panning hard left and hard right within Pro Tools? Thank you.

So I don't know about you guys, but I am LOVING these Aura IRs!!! I haven't had a chance to use them live yet, but from what I've heard so far, there's no doubt, they'll cut through fine and add some warmth to the characteristics of the acoustic being played. VERY impressive and useful! If you haven't tried these out with an acoustic through your AFX rig, do yourself a favor and give them a try. Split a signal, put a cab block with an Aura IR in one signal and just a straight cable on the other, recombine them into a mixer block and mix them to taste (I usually do 50/50).

Does anyone have any more of these? So far I've scoured the forum and found a bunch, but hey, we're guitarists, we could always use more! Anyone have access to making some more and want to add them to this page? Maybe any from Gibson (Hummingbird, Songwriter, SJ-200, Advanced Jumbo, etc) and some more Martins (I know we have the HD28s, but maybe some 000 models and some ones with mahogany backs and sides)? :-)

Thanks guys!

I don't know if anyone has had this problem, searched the database but couldn't find anything. I've purchased three different Cat cables, and none of them fit/stay locked in the Axe. Fit and lock fine in the MFC, though.

The only cable that locked is unfortunately a 3 footer, which does me no good on stage. Anyone have a suggestion (or even better link to buy) as to a good 15 to 25 footer that will "lock" into the back of the Axe?

Came up with this lead sound basically doing nothing at all! Picked the Bassman 59, put a tubescreamer in front, some delay, and rocked out!

Love the dynamics, and this is before I've even thought of updating to v6.0 (WHICH HAPPENS THIS WEEKEND)!

So for the longest time, I have been having these static issues with my Eric Johnson Strat, that have been bugging me to no end. I thought it must be the Axe FX II because I see a static entries once in awhile. So out of curiosity I plug in my Les Paul, and no static, That's good news. So I do a little google search and find out that this is pretty common on strats, and that they suggest using a dryer sheet on both sides of the pickguard. So along with changing my strings I also unscrewed my pickguard and rubbed both sides, a low and behold it fixed my static issue. I have been playing since i was eleven yrs old, and I had never heard that. I know everyone probably knew this already, but it was new news to me.

I was thinking about the looper on my way to work this morning and I realized the integration of the feature seems incorrect to me. I really believe it should be a function that exists outside and above any preset in the unit to allow for preset switching so you can record a loop in the background using one preset, say a rhythm track, and then switch to a lead preset to solo over. Effectively, it should be a module on its own.

By tying this function to a preset, it doesn't allow for preset switching and thereby limits its usefulness. Of course, "usefulness" might be too harsh a word. We could probably say that it's usefulness could be greatly increased by that enhancement. I like that better.

Right now, I'd rather use my Jamman Stereo than the internal looper because of this issue.

Does anyone agree or am I off my rocker? Or am I missing something?
