Using TM to improve my Variax tones....

I have a JTV-89 Variax, which I love. The magnetic pickups are great, but I'd love to be able to be able to use the TM block to allow me to copy the sound of the Les Paul model and use it with the magnetic bridge pickup so I can get the attack of the 'real' pickup (palm-muting is still iffy for heavier stuff).

Would this be feasible with the Axe?
