Ha! Metal Cover of a Ke$ha song...w/ FAS Modern. Check it!

    Hey dudes:

This is a cover I composed of "We R Who We R" by Ke$ha. I put it together a few years ago and thought I would re-record it. Haha...I have so much fun taking annoying pop songs and putting a little twist on them. I used the FAS Modern with some Ownhammer Mesa V32 IRs. I didn't mix anything or apply any post-processing. Check it and let me know what you think of it. And let me know how you like the tone! Thanks!

Wow, this is very different and I have to commend you on the tones and recording. I like the slappy, punchy compression and eq you used. It makes me want to eat week-old taffy and jump on a tramp-oh-lean.

No prob! I especially like when the Chorus' drop! The chopped up vocals from the original track really work with that part well! Where are you getting the stems for these tunes?

I usually get acapellas from acapellas4u.co.uk but for this track I found a clean one on YouTube and converted it to mp3 at listentoyoutube.com.

Anybody who hasn't checked out this track please do so. I'd love some feedback on the tone and mix. Although I didn't do any real mixing. I'd love to hear some suggestions as far as my overall sound goes. Thanks!

Haha thanks man. Yea the drums definitely need to be brought down. I didn't even touch the mixer aside from panning the guitar tracks. I just left everything at its default preset level.

Speaking of drums... yours sound amazing! Do you use live drums on most of your tracks? Im a Superior Drummer fanboy. I took a SD2 preset from Garell2(YouTube dude) and tweaked it a little bit. And I blend an Avatar snare with a Metal Foundry snare. I like them okay I guess but yours sound very good dude.

Maybe just a little less high end on the drums for me. And just lowering the whole kit would probably help make everything else stand out a little bit more.
