Hey Cliff and company. Take some time off...the holiday season is upon us. Have a very Merry Christmas and thanks for all your hard work!

BTW, congrats on the "Editor Pick" article in this month's "Guitar Player" magazine...this confirms what we all already new.

Tuned Pick Attack processor to reduce distortion at extreme settings.

    Thank You.

Edit - Just had a minute to turn it on and play and the noise seems to be gone.

I hadn't updated since V7. Love the changes. The Bit 800 sounds much better to my ears. Some of new amps are cool. The harmonic feedback is vastly improved. Thanks guys.
Guitars: James Tyler silver mystery Studio Elite, James Tyler tobacco burst Studio Elite, Suhr Honyburst Standard SSH, Gibson Les Paul Standard, Danocaster Tele, Duesenberg Starplayer.
Rig: Axe-FX II, pair of FBT 12ma's , DMC System Mix, Liquid Foot Pro and the obligatory Furman.

Cliff, thanks much for the dedication and quick bug fixes. I appreciate very much the dynamic nature in which you run your company. As for all the Axe Edit complaints, it's not worth any of your time to let them throw you off your strategic path, so just ignore them. What you have accomplished is stellar and will be remembered for a very long time. I'm just happy to be a part of music history, in some sort of way.

When I updated to V.9, many of my native patches changed and seemed more distorted, but this pushed me to tweak and learn more about all the parameters, which I thank you for.

    All the best,
    Jean.

Check the Utility menu of the Axe-FX II; not Axe-Edit.

yeah I have Scott, i reboot it just in case it didnt tell me to.

The update goes all the way through the transfer and only seems to stop working at the last stage where Im to wait for the Axe-FX screen to say reboot
then I get the "same firmware" error.

for the record I am using AE to do the transfer but in all fairness it was what I used to update to 9.00.

Odd, I will re download it and try again... maybe even reload an older firmware version and then bypass 9.00... though Im a little hesitant as Id rather get stuck on 9.00 if im going to get stuck somewhere.. maybe Ill just wait for AE to arrive.

Also make sure you use the download link on page 1 of this thread by the OP.
I used Axe Edit with every update and no problems.

Weirdly enough, I kinda liked the aural representation of 'error accumulation' in that Youtube clip....like when you turn up the feedback all the way on a delay and it starts to run away with itself
