[Solved] Axe-Edit won't stop sending Sysex info on start up. It just keeps resending.

    Axe-Edit Version:261
Axe-Fx Model and Firmware Version: AxeFX II 4.01
    Connection: USB
    OS/Version:OS LION
    Other HW peripherals:
    SW Component: AXE EDIT

Second day with the Axe FX II, after Axe-Edit worked fine yesterday, today it started being strange.

When I launch Axe-edit, it automatically starts sending and gets stuck sending sysex info.

I used to be able to get it to stop by going into the Midi Settings and switching the midi out for axe fxII to None then back to the Axe II.

but then, If I try to "refresh from hardware" it starts the sending the Sysex info again and again and again.

I have reinstalled Axe-edit twice and deleted all preference files beforehand.

I just can't figure it out.

Any help or Ideas would be greatly appreciated

Try removing the ~/Library/Saved Application State/com.fractalaudio.AxeEdit.savedState/ directory as well as
    ~/Library/Preferences/Fractal Audio/...

Try uninstalling the old Axe-Edit with CleanMyMac and reinstalling. That fixed the last installation related problem I had....

I used Clean my mac and reinstalled. Axe Edit worked for a second but right when I set the "source" to Axe Fx it went back into the cycle of sending Sysex info. Also it keeps going back to a default preset called "Freeform" if that means anything.

    Still loading Sysex....over and over.

Hi... I see this as well with the latest firmware, drivers and edit app (windows 7 in my case).

Same here with my ULTRA on a Snow Leopard Mac Pro, and after it worked fine for many days! Switched to my MacBook Pro and all is well, for now...

Axe-Edit seems to deposit a "freeform.syx" in Workspace/Temp for some unknown reason on my system.

Perhaps it is corrupt on the systems with startup issues.

    Try deleting that and restarting...

    I'm grasping at solutions so....

I noticed that as well before the last time I reinstalled Axe-edit and deleted it.

    Now,.........It's back.

And I know claudel, I really appreciate all of your ideas. Anything is better than nothing.

Still sending, again and again and again.

Hopefully another update will come soon.
