Got mine to stop but I cant tell you what I did. Uploaded the drivers again and and axe edit and messed with stuff and it started working fine.I did go and delete files in documents like someone on here suggested. Mine wont upload the new version 5 banks though so am still working on that. I wonder if my computer (2006 dell running windows XP is too old?) I wish I could help but I just thought I let you know I did get it to stop sending the syx files because that was unbearable!
I have one friend and he has no friends!

Same here. AxeEdit and Axe get trapped in an endless loop. I tried all different kinds of preference settings without luck. Then at one point, I re-opened it and it worked.

    On Mac OSX 10.6.8.

Ok guys, I'll keep the faith.

Believe me, I'll definitely keep trying stuff and messing with it.

And you guys will be the first to hear if I get it figured out.

Thanks again for all your replys,

    Justin

rule of thumb: Power on the Axe-II first, then start AxeEdit.

I, too, am having this issue, but for me it started after I upgraded to OS X 10.7.3 - I have the latest version of Axe-Edit and have 5.01 installed. All was well until I installed OS X 10.7.3 and now Axe-Edit is useless.

Has anyone had solid results buy doing the thorough remove of Axe-Edit on a mac?

    UPDATE:

After reading this thread I also took a peek inside the midi settings. While axe-edit was stuck in that sysex loop that basically makes the axe-fx "stutter" I clicked on the TEST CONNECTION button within the midi settings within axe-edit and that crashed axe-edit. The results of the debug console are attached.

OK, looks like Google might have been a better help! I've solved my "loop" issue via what's described in this thread here:

stuck in loop: Axe edit status sysex send …..

    Bottom line.....

In Axe-edit click on the recall drop down box and select "auto-recall from Axe-Fx on preset change" and then select "refresh from hardware" - that set everything back to normal.
